During the project, a great number of activities are undertaken by the partner institutions. These entail the followinig outputs:

• A status quo analysis with regard to each partner region
• Two comparative analysis of microfinance approaches
• Case studies are conducted

• Business options for the project regions are developed according to their  regional needs
• A guide for the establishment of MSE-finance schemes for the underserved, but solvent MSE in the EU-15
• Application possibilities for the establishment of a Microfinance provider are assessed and implemented

• A review on financial products used by institutions who apply the character based lending approach and other relevant methodologies of MSE financing
• Discussion of constraints for the transferability with representatives from developing countries
• A legal analysis of the financial institutional setting is carried out
